According to Kinh Do Joint Stock Company (HOSE: KDC), up to this moment the consumption of moon cakes was 2,000 tons representing an increase of 15% compared with the plan. While many businesses offers sale-off or promotion in the market in occasion of the coming Mid-August, Kinh Do still adopted the non-promotion policy with its products.
This year, in response to the prospective situation of the economy and positive forecast about the buying power, Kinh Do proposed to launch 1,900 tons of moon cakes to the market, representing an increase of 100 tons compared with 2009. To meet the demand for high-quality products, Kinh Do continued introducing high quality product lines naming “golden moon” with the output of 240,000 packs, representing an increase of 20% compared with 2009. Up to now, 2,000 tons of Kinh Do moon cakes have been consumed, increasing 15% against the plan; whereas high quality moon cakes have been sold out.
High quality models those were launched to the market this year are designed with special creativity: 8 sets of golden moons and more than 80 types of moon cakes with various flavors, resulting in diversified selection for customers. This was the only time Kinh Do produces 1,000 packs of super quality with the name of Thang Long – Hanoi Golden Moon to welcome 1000 years of Thang Long. All turnovers from these products were offered to the Organization Board to prepare the Festival in the next October.
In this year, Kinh Do has enhanced personnel to serve office, factory sector, making consumption rate of moon cakes higher than the proposed plan. Thanks to position economic situation, more advantageous operation of the business, partners, and more customers, the order from this sector is booming.
Kinh Do has made accurate forecast on the consumption of each type of market; therefore, Company has balanced the product distribution between cities, provinces, various channels including agents, retail shops, distributors, Kinh Do Bakery to make timely meeting to the demands of customers.
