For 2013 Mid-Autumn Festival, though there were many fortunate children that were well cared of by their family celebrating the festival with mooncakes and lanterns, there were still less fortunate children who did not have the opportunity to welcome the festival. With the desire to relief, comfort, and support those unfortunate children with difficult circumstances, orphans, underprivileged and handicapped to enjoy a warm 2013 Mid-Autumn Festival, from September 6th, 2013 (August 2nd, lunar calendar) to September 19th, 2013 (August 15th, lunar calendar), Kinh Do coordinated directly with concerned agencies, organizations and charity programs to provide gifts to them at the center, shelters, open house ... in HCM City, Hanoi and neighboring provinces. Total gifts that Kinh Do provided during this occasions were a total of 8,000 prizes with a total value of VND 750 million.
Kinh Do supported the following programs:
- Kinh Do collaborated with the Fatherland Front Committee – City Campaign For The Poor awarded 1500 prizes at 9 social support centers such as Go Vap Orphans Center, Go Vap SOS Youth Villages, Thu Duc Youth Village, Tam Binh Children Nursing Center,
- Kinh Do Corporation together with the Red Cross of Ho Chi Minh city and other social organizations visited and provided 3,000 prizes to the children in District 9, Cu Chi, Can Gio , Binh Chanh.
- On this occasion, Kinh Do provided more than 2,500 gifts to charity groups, associations and organization to organize mid-autumn festival for young patients being treated at the hospital , and poor children in remote areas such as Binh Phuoc , Binh Duong , Long An , Tra Vinh , An Giang , Ben Tre.
- Kinh Do also donated 1,000 gifts to the children at the Children's Central Hospital , and the other programs that organized mid-autumn festival of various social charity organizations in Hanoi.
The gifts sent directly to children during the Mid-Autumn Festival also contained the blessing, sharing, and wishes of the union members as well as the employees and staffs of Kinh Do Corporation. We all wished the best for those less fortunate children and hoped that these gifts can contributed to bring the children a warmer and more joyful Mid-Autumn festival.
